EXPERIENCED HARDWOOD FLOOR TECHNICIAN A&D

We are looking for a skilled, experienced hardwood flooring technician who can walk onto a jobsite and perform quality work with minimal supervision. We are not looking to train someone from the ground up. A&D Restoration is a specialty restoration company serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. Our technicians work in high-end residential and commercial environments, and we expect a high level of workmanship and professionalism.WHAT YOU MUST KNOW
You must be proficient in hardwood floor refinishing , including: Proper sanding techniques Operating professional sanding equipment Edging Floor preparation Staining Applying finishes Understanding different hardwood species Identifying flooring problems before and during refinishing Properly protecting surrounding areas Producing a professional, consistent finished product Hardwood installation experience is aPLUS. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Refinish hardwood floors from start to finish Sand and prepare hardwood flooring Operate professional floor sanding and refinishing equipment Stain and finish hardwood floors Clean and maintain hardwood flooring Install hardwood flooring when required Perform hardwood floor repairs and preparation Evaluate existing flooring and identify potential problems Maintain equipment and tools Protect walls, cabinets, furniture, and other surfaces Keep jobsites clean and organized Follow A&D Restoration's procedures and quality standards Communicate professionally with customers Work independently and complete assigned work without constant supervision Work effectively with other technicians and management Represent A&D Restoration professionally at every jobREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
You must meet ALL of the following requirements: Previous professional hardwood flooring experience —REQUIRED
Proficient in hardwood floor refinishing —REQUIRED
Hardwood installation experience is preferred Valid driver's license —REQUIRED
Able to independently lift and carry 75 lbs Able to work on your feet and perform physically demanding work for extended periods Able to work independently without constant supervision Able to work effectively as part of a team Reliable and dependable Strong attention to detail Professional appearance and attitude Comfortable working inside customers' homes and commercial properties Must pass a background check Must be willing to work varying schedules based on project requirementsWHO SHOULD NOT APPLY

if: You have never worked professionally with hardwood floors Your only flooring experience is with carpet, tile, vinyl, or other flooring You have only assisted a hardwood technician but cannot independently refinish floors You are looking for an opportunity to learn hardwood refinishing from scratch You cannot operate hardwood sanding equipment You require constant supervision to complete your work You are unreliable or have a history of poor attendance You are not comfortable working in customers' homes You do not have a valid driver's license We are specifically looking for someone who already knows the hardwood flooring trade.SCHEDULE 20-55
