In this energetic position, you will assist skilled flooring installers in preparing, installing, and finishing a variety of flooring materials including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet. Your enthusiasm for construction and attention to detail will help ensure each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction and restoration industry while developing valuable skills in flooring installation, carpentry, and site preparation. Duties Support lead installers by preparing work areas, including measuring, layout, and material handling for flooring projects Assist with the installation of various flooring types such as tile laying, hardwood, laminate, and carpet Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install flooring materials according to schematics and blueprints Help with surface preparation tasks such as floor leveling, water damage restoration cleanup, and floor care maintenance Aid in fixture installation, trim carpentry, caulking, and cabinet setup as needed during remodeling or renovation projects Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly on construction sites Follow safety protocols diligently while working with construction site equipment and materials to prevent accidents Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites, blueprint reading, or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling is preferred Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and schematics is highly desirable Experience in flooring installation—including tile laying—and water damage restoration is a plus Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in the restoration industry Basic understanding of construction estimating or blueprint interpretation will be advantageous Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for job site access Embark on a rewarding career journey where your contributions directly impact beautiful home transformations!
