Tile Installer

Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tile Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of tiles in residential and commercial properties. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools, and develop your expertise within the construction industry. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine tile layouts and specifications. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable primers or adhesives. Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, and chisels. Install tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and other surfaces following industry standards. Use power tools safely and efficiently to facilitate cutting, shaping, and fixing tiles. Grout, seal, and finish tiled surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials appropriately. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or painters to ensure seamless project completion. Skills Proven experience in construction or tiling installation is preferred. Proficiency with hand tools including tile cutters, chisels, trowels, and levels. Familiarity with power tools used in tiling such as drills and saws. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction painting is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and cuts. Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials safely and stand for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to different surfaces and project requirements.
