Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring and wall tiles, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces through high-quality tile work, from residential remodels to commercial projects. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install tiles for floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools with precision. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute tile layouts accurately. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal adhesion. Perform epoxy floor installation, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, and floor refinishing as needed. Conduct restoration work including water damage restoration, floor care, and surface repairs to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with building installation safety regulations and industry best practices during all phases of work. Collaborate with team members on fixture installation, cabinet installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects to deliver comprehensive results. Skills Extensive experience in flooring installation including tile laying, ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, and carpet installation. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels), power tools (e.g., saws, drills), and specialized equipment for construction projects. Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Knowledge of building material installation techniques with a focus on safety compliance on construction sites. Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently during construction or restoration projects. Familiarity with water damage restoration procedures and floor refinishing techniques to restore surfaces effectively. Experience in caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, concrete finishing, painting preparation, buffing, and remodeling tasks.
