Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various flooring surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Measure and prepare work areas by reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation. Install a variety of flooring materials including tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet using hand tools and power tools. Perform floor preparation tasks such as leveling surfaces, caulking gaps, and applying underlayments to ensure a smooth foundation. Execute trim carpentry, cabinet installation, fixture mounting, and water damage restoration as needed to complete projects seamlessly. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and time requirements for efficient job planning. Conduct floor care maintenance including buffing, cleaning, sealing, and polishing to uphold quality standards post-installation. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects or construction site tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Extensive experience in flooring installation with proficiency in tile laying and related craftsmanship. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as caulking guns, chisels, hammers; power tools including saws, drills, sanders; and concrete finishing equipment. Background in carpentry, cabinetry installation, remodeling, construction painting, and water damage restoration industry experience. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise project execution. Excellent problem-solving skills with hands-on handyman experience for troubleshooting on-site issues. Familiarity with floor care techniques like buffing and sealing; knowledge of fixture installation and trim carpentry enhances versatility.
