We handle full unit turnovers for residential apartment properties — painting, flooring, fixtures, demo, and everything in between. This is a part-time W-2 employee position with genuinely flexible scheduling. Hours will vary week to week — anywhere from 8 to 35 hours depending on project workload and your availability. This works best for someone looking to supplement their income on their own schedule, not replace a full-time job. You do NOT need to do it all. We'd love someone with a broad skillset, but we'll absolutely hire for specific strengths. If you're excellent at one or two of the following, we want to hear from you.

Work includes:

Interior painting — brush/roller and airless sprayer Drywall patching and repair LVP flooring prep and installation Plumbing fixture replacements (faucets, p-traps, shutoff valves) Lighting fixture installation and replacement Laminate countertop removal and installation Kitchen cabinet and bathroom vanity repair/replacement Appliance swap-outs (refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave) Door hanging, routing, and frame installation Lock replacement Demo work (carpet removal, trim, general tearout) What we're looking for: Hands-on experience in at least one of the trades above — this is not an entry-level position Dependable and deadline-aware — our projects run on schedules and we need people who follow through on their commitments Self-sufficient on the job site Own transportation required (work is split across two properties in Iowa City) Own tools are a plus, but not required — we supply what's needed What we offer: $20-$35/hour depending on skill level and experience Flexible, project-based scheduling — you're not locked into set days or shifts Variable hours: roughly 8-35 hrs/week based on workload and your availability Workers' compensation and general liability coverage provided A small, no-nonsense team that respects good work To apply: Skip the formal resume if you don't have one.
