Commercial Flooring Installer Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installer to join our team. This role involves performing various flooring installation tasks, including tile laying, carpet installation, hardwood and vinyl flooring, epoxy flooring, and floor refinishing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hand and power tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship in commercial settings. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the successful completion of flooring installations. Responsibilities Install a variety of commercial flooring materials such as tile, carpet, hardwood, vinyl, epoxy, and other specialty floors. Perform floor refinishing tasks to restore and enhance existing flooring surfaces. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and install flooring materials. Follow project specifications, blueprints, and safety guidelines to ensure accurate and safe installation. Prepare work areas by removing old flooring, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring proper subfloor conditions. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Assist in managing project timelines and ensure work is completed within scheduled deadlines. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition; report any damages or issues promptly. Skills Experience in commercial flooring installation including tile laying, carpet installation, hardwood floor installation, vinyl floor installation, epoxy floor application, and floor refinishing. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, trowels, and measuring devices. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently for various flooring tasks. Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality workmanship. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials. Knowledge of safety procedures related to flooring installation work. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
