Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Hardwood Flooring Apprentice and kick-start your career in the construction and flooring industry! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and restoring hardwood floors, while learning essential skills in carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. Whether you're passionate about craftsmanship or eager to develop a versatile skill set, this role provides an exciting opportunity to grow within a supportive environment dedicated to excellence and craftsmanship. Duties Assist with the installation, sanding, finishing, and restoration of hardwood flooring projects. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans related to flooring and remodeling projects. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fitting, caulking, trimming, and fixture installation. Support the preparation of job sites by measuring, leveling, and ensuring proper surface conditions for flooring installation. Participate in tile laying, floor care, water damage restoration, and general remodeling tasks as directed by experienced team members. Help with construction estimating tasks by gathering measurements and assisting in material calculations. Gain exposure to various aspects of construction site experience including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fixture installation. Qualifications Enthusiastic about learning construction trades with a strong interest in flooring installation and carpentry. Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior handyman experience or related skills such as caulking, trim carpentry, or cabinet installation is a plus. Willingness to learn about restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and floor care. Good communication skills with an eagerness to develop technical knowledge like blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. No prior experience required; training will be provided to develop your skills in , remodeling, buffing, refinishing hardwood floors and more.
