In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of commercial flooring surfaces, including tile, carpet, vinyl, and hardwood and more. Your expertise will help transform commercial spaces by ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to restoration jobs, contributing to the enhancement of commercial environments with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities Install a wide range of commercial flooring materials such as tile, vinyl, hardwood, and carpet following blueprints and schematics. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation aligned with project specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other equipment to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials efficiently. Perform restoration work including water damage repair, floor buffing, cleaning, and refinishing to restore flooring to optimal condition. Assist with other construction tasks such as trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet setup, or remodeling projects as needed. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling construction site equipment. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation within a commercial setting or related construction environment. Hands-on experience with tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration industry practices. Familiarity with restoration techniques and floor care procedures including buffing and finishing. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and concrete finishing equipment. Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety standards and site protocols is highly desirable. Additional skills in cabinetry installation, construction painting, schematic interpretation, handyman tasks or concrete finishing are a plus.
