This position involves assisting with the sanding, staining, finishing, and installation of hardwood floors in residential and commercial settings. Experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Responsibilities Assist in sanding and refinishing hardwood floors Prepare job sites, including moving furniture and protecting surrounding areas Operate and maintain sanding equipment and tools Apply stains, sealers, and finish coats under supervision Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas Load and unload materials and equipment Follow company safety procedures and quality standards Communicate professionally with customers and team members Assist lead technicians with flooring installations and repairs as needed Qualifications Previous flooring, construction, painting, or woodworking experience is a plus Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day Reliable transportation and punctual attendance (8AM start time at our shop) Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred No felonies What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid training and opportunities for advancement Consistent, year-round work Overtime opportunities Supportive team environment Company-provided tools and equipment Paid Holidays Pay $15.00 -$19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
