Full Job Description About Garage Force ROC:
Garage Force ROC is a premier provider of premium concrete floor coatings in the Rochester area. Specializing in high-end, extremely durable Polyurea and Epoxy coating systems for residential garages, basements, and commercial spaces. We pride ourselves on unmatched quality, meticulous attention to detail, and a superior customer experience.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Floor Coating Installer / Crew Supervisor to take ownership of our daily job site operations. This is a leadership position. You will not just be pouring and rolling; you will be managing a dedicated installation crew, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from surface prep to final topcoat, and ensuring every floor meets Garage Force's strict quality standards. If you have a strong background in construction, painting, or property maintenance, and you know how to lead a crew to the finish line in the demanding Rochester weather, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Management:
Supervise, train, and direct a crew of 1-3 installers. Maintain job site morale, enforce safety protocols, and ensure strict adherence to the daily schedule.
Job Site Preparation, Execution & Quality Control:
Oversee and execute the complete Garage Force coating process. This includes moisture/pH testing, concrete grinding, shot blasting, crack repair, mixing products, entering warranty details, and superior application techniques of various coating systems such as flake, quartz, medici, metallics, etc.
Equipment & Inventory Management:
Maintain the jobsite trailer, manage daily inventory of liquids, system specific needs, and perform on-site troubleshooting and basic maintenance of heavy equipment (grinders, industrial vacs, generators).
Customer Experience:
Serve as the face of Garage Force ROC on the job site. Conduct pre-job walkthroughs with homeowners, manage expectations, complete the job completion checklist, and review post installation instructions upon completion.
Problem Solving:
Make executive, on-the-fly decisions when dealing with unpredictable concrete conditions, equipment issues, or weather changes to keep the project moving forward without sacrificing quality.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Leadership Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience supervising crews in construction, commercial painting, landscaping, or related trades.
Trade Skills:
Experience with surface preparation, painting, or applying industrial coatings is preferred. Must understand the importance of meticulous prep work and precision application. Experience with equipment surface grinders is a plus, but not required.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on construction equipment (changing belts, fixing vac hoses, etc.).
Physicality & Resilience:
Must be capable of performing physical labor for 8-10 hours a day, including lifting 75+ lbs. Must be comfortable working in unconditioned environments (hot summers and cold winters).
Professionalism:
Excellent communication skills with a track record of top-tier customer service.
Logistics:
Must possess reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Why Join Garage Force ROC? We offer comprehensive on-the-job training in our products and application techniques/procedures. As a Lead Installer, you will have the opportunity to help build a team from the foundation up, collaborate on business processes, strategies, and investments, help define the 'culture' of the organization, and take on other advanced challenges. You will also have an opportunity to earn performance/project-based bonuses based on individual and group KPI's as well as a path to growth with an expanding local business.
Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Benefits:
On-the-job training People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
