Job Description

Job Description Architectural Floors and Design is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a wide variety of commercial flooring materials according to architectural blueprints, layouts, and high-quality industry standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to completing projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities Preparation & Layout:
Review project blueprints, material takeoffs, and architectural specifications to plan the layout and minimize material waste.
Floor Prep:
Inspect subfloors for cleanliness, moisture, and levelness. Perform necessary floor preparation, including patching, grinding, and applying underlayments or self-leveling compounds.
Installation:
Measure, cut, and expertly install commercial flooring materials including carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile/plank (LVT/LVP), sheet vinyl, flash coving, and VCT.
Finishing Touches:
Install transition strips, baseboards, quarter rounds, and wall bases to ensure a clean, professional finish.
Site Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
Collaboration:
Coordinate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in commercial flooring installation.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading blueprints, floor plans, and architectural layouts. Experience interpreting digital material takeoffs is a plus.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of floor preparation requirements, moisture mitigation protocols, and different adhesive applications.
Tools:
Must possess a standard set of professional flooring installation tools.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
