In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, and backsplashes, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with precision and durability, helping clients achieve their vision for beautiful, functional environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within the restoration, remodeling, and new construction industries. Responsibilities Measure and prepare surfaces accurately using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise tile placement. Cut and shape tiles using hand tools and power tools to fit designated spaces while maintaining safety standards. Lay tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and other surfaces with attention to detail, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion. Mix and apply mortar or adhesive evenly to secure tiles firmly in place. Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling, waterproofing, caulking, and sealing to ensure long-lasting results. Install related fixtures such as trims, moldings, cabinets, and fixtures as part of comprehensive remodeling projects. Conduct water damage restoration tasks when necessary and perform floor care including buffing and cleaning to maintain finished surfaces. Skills Extensive experience with flooring installation, tile laying, and related construction activities. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) used in tile installation. Familiarity with carpentry techniques such as trim carpentry and cabinet installation. Experience in water damage restoration and general construction site work. Ability to perform construction painting, concrete finishing, remodeling tasks, and fixture installation efficiently. Knowledge of the restoration industry standards along with handyperson skills for diverse repair needs.
