In this role, you will be responsible for expertly installing various flooring materials, including vinyl (with flash coving and heat welding), commercial carpet, and residential flooring. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience, a strong commitment to craftsmanship, and a professional demeanor. Responsibilities Install a variety of commercial flooring materials such as tile, carpet, vinyl, and hardwood according to project specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, and securing flooring materials Perform caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed for complete finishing Assist with water damage restoration projects by assessing damage and implementing appropriate flooring solutions Conduct floor care tasks including buffing and polishing to achieve desired appearance standards Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality standards Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols on-site Qualifications Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of hand tools and power tools Experience with carpentry, caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fixture setup is preferred Background in water damage restoration or the restoration industry is a plus Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Prior experience in remodeling, concrete finishing, construction painting, or maintenance person work is advantageous Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions for extended periods Join our team as a Commercial Flooring Installer to contribute your expertise in creating durable and aesthetically pleasing commercial spaces.
