This position involves installing LVT, carpet, and other flooring products in residential, commercial, and government facilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, works well with others, and provides professional customer service on job sites. Pay & Advancement Pay is discussed during the in-person interview and is based on experience. Starting pay increases with prior installation experience. Our owner believes in rewarding strong performance, reliability, and quality workmanship. Important Requirements Clean background record Clean, valid driver's license Ability to pass a military background check Our technicians frequently work on Abilene Air Force Base Reliable transportation to and from work Primary Duties Install flooring materials including carpet, LVT, laminate, and other surfaces Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials accurately Remove existing flooring and prepare subfloors Level surfaces and repair minor subfloor issues as needed Install underlayment and moisture barriers when required Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and finishing of flooring Trim and finish edges for a clean, professional appearance Maintain a clean job site and remove debris after installation Qualifications Previous flooring installation experience preferred Ability to accurately measure and cut materials Familiarity with power tools and safe operation Experience with trim work, caulking, and basic carpentry Water damage restoration experience is a plus Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional attitude and customer service skills This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
