Job Description
Job Overview Capitol Glass, a veteran-owned, full-service glass company serving Central Connecticut for over 50 years, is seeking a Licensed Glazier (FG-1 / FG-2) or Flat Glass Storefront Service Technician to join our busy and growing team. We work on high-quality residential and commercial glass and storefront projects and are committed to safety, craftsmanship, and excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for an experienced glazier or service technician to grow within a reputable company offering year-round work, team support, and advancement opportunities. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, dependable and have a strong work ethic with keen attention to detail. Responsibilities Service and Install flat glass, storefront, low-rise curtainwall, frameless glass partitions, and door systems Fabricate and assemble aluminum frames, doors, and components in the shop Follow blueprints and technical drawings for field and fabrication work Cut and handle various types of metal and glass using hand/power tools Perform accurate measurements and site assessments Lift, move, and position heavy materials (50-75 lbs) Maintain tools and ensure jobsite safety and cleanliness Follow both written and verbal instructions Work well with and mentor others Qualifications CT FG-1 or FG-2 license preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in flat glass, glazing, finish carpentry, or general construction. Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and Driver's License Required. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials as needed.
