In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your construction skills to enhance building aesthetics and energy efficiency. Your proactive approach and craftsmanship will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and project success. Responsibilities Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise fitment. Remove old windows carefully, handling glass and framing components with care to prevent damage or injury. Install new windows using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques, ensuring secure and level placement. Apply caulking and weatherproofing materials to seal gaps around windows for optimal insulation and protection against the elements. Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed to prepare openings for window installation. Assist with related tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, cabinet installation, remodeling projects, and construction painting to support overall project completion. Lift heavy window units safely while following proper ergonomic practices; coordinate with team members for efficient workflow. Read and interpret blueprints or schematics to understand project specifications thoroughly. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Prior experience in construction estimating, glass installation, or general carpentry is highly desirable. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is essential. Familiarity with fabrication processes within manufacturing or remodeling contexts will be advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws is required. Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting safely during window handling or related tasks is important. Knowledge of caulking techniques, fixture installation, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and remodeling practices will set you apart. Experience with handyman tasks including construction painting or trim carpentry adds value to your skill set.
