Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Glass Installer/Superintendent to lead and oversee glass installation projects within commercial construction environments. This role combines hands-on installation expertise with project management responsibilities, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of construction management software and safety regulations. As a key team leader, you will coordinate crews, manage project schedules, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all federal and industry-specific safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise glass installation crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools to coordinate timelines effectively. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately and plan installation sequences accordingly. Oversee the procurement and management of materials, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage on-site. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce OSHA safety regulations, and implement quality control measures. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth communication regarding project scope, schedule updates, and budget considerations. Supervise subcontractors and crew members, providing clear managerial communication and managing team performance for optimal productivity. Review construction contracts and manage change orders while maintaining comprehensive documentation for project records. Ensure compliance with all federal construction safety regulations and industry standards related to commercial glass installation. Assist in estimating costs for projects by reviewing blueprints and schematics to support accurate budgeting efforts. Skills Extensive experience in commercial construction management with a focus on glass installation projects. Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, HeavyBid, or equivalent software. Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Familiarity with OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations; ability to enforce safety protocols effectively on-site. Skilled in managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment; excellent supervisory capabilities with crew management experience. Ability to review contracts, manage project budgets, and oversee construction estimating processes accurately. Experience with construction safety management practices including quality control procedures and use of tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary. Strong managerial communication skills; capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders across complex projects. Knowledge of construction regulations specific to commercial projects; adept at supervising site activities while maintaining compliance standards. Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation and project tracking purposes.
