Job Description

Construction Resources is seeking a skilled Glass Installer in LaGrange to join our specialty building materials team. In this field role, you will measure, cut, and install residential and light commercial glass, mirrors, and related hardware for builders, designers, remodelers, and homeowners. Responsibilities include reading work orders, safely handling and transporting glass, ensuring precise, high-quality installations, and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced, design-focused environment with opportunities to grow into operations, sales, design, or management. Responsibilities Install, replace, and repair residential and light commercial glass per project specifications Measure, cut, and prepare glass, mirrors, and related hardware with precision and safety Load, transport, and unload glass and materials to job sites using proper handling techniques Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and layout instructions Coordinate with builders, designers, and homeowners to confirm requirements and resolve onsite issues Inspect completed installations for quality, alignment, sealing, and code/safety compliance Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment; keep work areas and job sites clean and organized Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including PPE use and safe material handling Complete required documentation, such as job tickets, time records, and material usage Collaborate with teammates, warehouse, and scheduling to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Required Skills Glass installation Measuring and layout Glass cutting and fabrication Use of hand and power tools Reading blueprints and work orders Sealants and glazing techniques Construction site safety (OSHA awareness) Material handling and loading Customer communication Basic math and tape measure reading
