Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Glazier to oversee and execute complex glazing projects with precision and professionalism. As a key leader on our construction team, you will coordinate installation of glass, windows, doors, and related fixtures, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in glass materials, technical drawings, and construction processes will drive successful project completion while mentoring junior team members. Duties Lead the installation of glass panels, windows, doors, and custom fixtures according to construction plans and schematics. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately measure and fabricate glass components. Supervise and coordinate the handling of glass materials, ensuring safe transport, storage, and precise cutting for each project. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform fabrication, assembly, trimming, caulking, drywall finishing, and metal stud framing tasks as needed. Oversee construction site activities related to glazing projects, including heavy lifting, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry work, remodeling tasks. Ensure quality control through accurate dimensional measurements and adherence to safety protocols during installation. Mentor team members on best practices for glass materials handling, fabrication techniques, and construction site safety. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Strong knowledge of glass materials handling, window installation, door hanging, fixture setup, and related carpentry skills. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels; power tools including grinders and pneumatic equipment. Experience with measurement accuracy for quality control purposes in fabrication and installation processes. Background in construction site work with familiarity in drywall finishing, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, remodeling projects and handyman tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during glass installation or fabrication tasks. Excellent organizational skills for construction estimating and planning using schematics or technical plans. Strong communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and coordinating with team members on-site.
