Job Description
Job Summary This role's mission is to accurately and carefully load/unload & install products for customers in excellent condition. This role provides excellent customer service and always treat all customers in a courteous, respectful manner at all times. In addition, this role will work with an installer to learn about all aspects of installing, paperwork completion, communication, product knowledge, and fireplace install manual interpretation. This role is expected to exhibit the core values of the company - to Own It, Work as One Team, Find a Way, and Play to Win. Responsibilities Review all paperwork before leaving warehouse. Load and inspect all products to be installed for that day. Ensure absolute customer satisfaction by facilitating operational cooperation and direction within the division. Always drive safely when in company vehicle and abide by company hands-free cellular equipment policy. Follow all company policies regarding driver safety and distracted driving. Inspect Jobsite for safety. Safely bring all products necessary for install into area where work will be completed. Follow all standard work for installation of fireplaces. Complete all work for each job while still on site. Take appropriate photographs as outlined in standard work procedures. Once day's work is completed, return to warehouse. Turn in paperwork to Field Service Manager to review. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Ability to work as a team member as well as independently. Required Experience/Skills Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to read a tape measure Ability to operate hand power tools Comfort with heights including standing on rooftops and climbing 40-foot ladders Excellent communication and customer service skills A clean driving record and valid driver's license The ability to regularly lift, push, and pull heavy materials Residential Fireplace installation or service experience Construction/building trades experience Preferred Experience/Skills Residential Fireplace installation or service experience Construction/building trades experience Safety Assessment/Typical Working Conditions The work environment for an Assistant Fireplace Installer is generally outdoors on jobsites, in commercial construction settings or exposed to the elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
