- Home Delivery & Installation Position Overview The Appliance Installer is responsible for delivering and installing major household appliances—including washers, dryers, dishwashers, and related products—in customers' homes.
This role ensures high-quality installation, excellent customer service, and adherence to safety and company standards. Key Responsibilities Safely load, transport, and deliver appliances to customer homes. Install a variety of household appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and ovens according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Connect water, electrical, and ventilation lines as required for installation. Test appliances to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot basic issues. Remove old appliances and prepare them for recycling or haul-away if needed. Provide customers with basic product demonstrations and answer questions about appliance operation. Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety procedures. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and dispatch. Complete installation paperwork, service logs, and documentation accurately. Qualifications Experience with appliance installation, home delivery, or related technical work preferred (but some companies provide training). Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to lift and move heavy appliances (typically 75-150 lbs) with team assistance or proper equipment. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if driving company vehicles). Ability to work in customers' homes professionally and respectfully. Work Environment Frequent heavy lifting, bending, and carrying. Daily travel between warehouse and customer locations. Work performed both indoors and outdoors.
