Duties Measure, cut, and install various types of siding materials including vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement, and stucco with precision and care. Install windows of different sizes and styles, ensuring proper sealing, insulation, and alignment for optimal performance. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, framing, or repairing existing structures to ensure secure attachment of siding and windows. Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, caulking guns, and power tools including drills, saws, and grinders to complete installations efficiently. Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, masonry work, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, and tile laying. Experience with construction site operations including heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, and safety procedures. Familiarity with fabrication processes such as concrete forming and metal fabrication relevant to siding or window components. Ability to read schematics accurately for precise installation work. Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and sealing gaps around windows and siding. Previous experience in remodeling, restoration projects or handyman roles is highly desirable.
