The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience installing premium window films with precision and speed. While the primary day-to-day focus is on automotive tinting, the right candidate will also possess the versatility to perform residential and commercial flat glass installations. Key Responsibilities:
Automotive Installation:
Prep, cut, heat-shrink, and install premium window films (including ceramic and carbon) on a wide variety of vehicles, from daily drivers to high-end sports cars and trucks.
Precision Hand-Cutting:
Must be fully competent in hand-cutting patterns to pull and cut individual windows perfectly.
Flat Glass Installation:
Efficiently cut and install residential and commercial solar, privacy, and security architectural films.
Plotter Cut Patterns:
Must have a basic understanding of plotter cut window tint patterns and how to properly cut, shrink, remove boundary waste and install patterns. Installation may also include shaving edges post installation.
Quality Control:
Perform rigorous inspections on finished work to ensure a flawless finish, entirely free of bubbles, dirt particles, peel-back, or fingers.
Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a meticulously clean, organized, and dust-controlled tint bay to prevent film contamination.
Customer Interaction:
Assist in walking clients through shade options (VLT) and film performance tiers, ensuring compliance with Nevada tint laws.
Industry-Standard Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of professional automotive window tinting experience in a shop environment. Experienced flat glass installation is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Complete mastery of heat shrinking (especially difficult curved rear windshields) and handling high-performance films without creasing.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, bend, stretch, crawl into tight vehicle interiors, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout a shift.
Tools:
Must have a strong preference for and deep familiarity with professional-grade hand tools, squeegees, and heat guns.
Requirements:
A valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record (to move customer vehicles safely in and out of the bays). Preferred but Not Required (Bonus Skills):
Computer & Software Proficiency:
Basic comfort navigating a computer, pulling up work orders, and running cutting software/plotters. PPF (Paint Protection Film): Experience prepping panels and installing clear bra/PPF on high-wear areas like hoods, bumpers, and mirrors.
Vinyl Accents:
Ability to handle basic vinyl installations, such as chrome deletes, roof wraps, or minor graphics.
Light Smoked Films:
Experience applying specialized tint/smoke film to headlights, taillights, and reflectors cleanly without burning the film or marring the lenses. How to
