Duties Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise fitment. Prepare work areas by removing old fixtures, cleaning surfaces, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely. Use hand tools and power tools to install new windows, including framing, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry adjustments. Handle glass installation with care, ensuring proper sealing with caulking and weatherproofing techniques to prevent leaks. Perform heavy lifting of window units and related materials safely while following all safety protocols. Read schematics and fabrication instructions to assemble window components correctly before installation. Complete remodeling tasks such as fixture installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, and construction painting as needed. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on window or glass installation projects. Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring tapes; proficient with power tools including drills and saws. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes. Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments related to windows or fixtures is highly desirable. Knowledge of carpentry techniques including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation tasks. Handyman experience or background in remodeling projects adds valuable versatility to your skill set.
