Job Description

Glassco, a division of Bruns Construction Enterprises, is a Full-Service glass company serving Western & Central Ohio. We build our company on unparalleled service, quality, and attention to detail. Our experienced estimators, project managers, and installers work with architects, general contractors, and owners to add value to the project while completing on budget and on time. Glassco offers custom designed solutions for commercial glazing, LEED assistance, fabrication, and installation. This role is a first-shift, full time role based out of our Piqua location. Our services include the design and installation for projects such as storefronts, curtainwalls, skylights, ACM Panels, historic window replacement and much more.
Skills, Experience, and Responsibilities:
At least two years of previous glazing experience. Ability to work independently or with an Apprentice as needed to complete tasks.
Glass installation and repair:
Measure, cut, and fit glass for windows, doors, skylights, storefronts, etc.
Removal and preparation:
Safely remove broken or old glass, clear out old putty or adhesives, and prepare the frame or sash for new installation.
Hardware and framing:
Assemble and install metal or wood frameworks and associated doors/windows hardware such as locks, hinges and closures.
Sealing:
Apply weather-stripping, caulks, sealants, or putty to ensure installations are completely watertight and secure.
Customer Service:
Interact directly with clients on-site to explain repair options. Proficient with glazier hand tools and the ability to read prints. Ability to stand for most of your shift, walk, bend and lift 100 pounds.
