Job Overview Window blind installers will travel to customers' homes, measure for window treatments, submit measurements, and install the customers' chosen window treatments. Responsibilities Measure windows accurately using tape measure or digital measuring tool Accurately submit measurements for customers' orders Install a variety of window coverings, including blinds, shades, shutters, and other fixtures, following detailed installation instructions and specifications. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to secure fixtures, mount brackets, and complete installations with attention to detail. Prioritize personal safety and installation site integrity by maintaining a clean work environment, coordinating with the homeowner, the store, or other on-site contractors as needed. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide guidance on product choices, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process. Provide a professional guarantee of accurate measurements and professional behavior throughout the measuring and installation process; inaccurate measurements resulting in the need to re-order products are the financial responsibility of the contractor Contractors are responsible for protecting the customer's home and property while performing work. Contractors must take all reasonable and appropriate precautions to prevent damage to floors, walls, ceilings, furnishings, fixtures, landscaping, and other property. Any damage caused by a contractor's failure to use reasonable care or appropriate protective measures is the contractor's responsibility, including the cost of repair or replacement. Contractors are responsible to provide their own tools, ladders, and reliable transportation Qualifications Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and interpreting technical installation instructions. Experience in contracting and construction is desired but not required. Ability to work confidently at heights using ladders safely while maintaining focus on safety procedures. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients in a timely manner. Must have up-to-date contractor licensing and insurance Must have the ability to pass background checks This is a 1099 position. The work is expected to come from Greensburg, Somerset, Johnstown, Indiana, Latrobe, and surrounding neighborhoods.
