You will work with an experienced superintendent and crew to assemble and install walk-in cooler and freezer systems at commercial jobsites. Previous HVAC/R experience is not required. We will consider candidates with strong construction, framing, finish carpentry, metal-panel, door, warehouse, equipment-installation, or general labor experience who are ready to learn a specialized trade. Pay and benefits $20.00-$36.00 per hour, based on construction and installation experience. Full-time, non-exempt position; overtime paid in accordance with applicable law. What you will do Assist with and perform installation of insulated panels, ceilings, doors, hardware, trim, and related components for commercial walk-in coolers and freezers. Read basic layouts, take accurate measurements, prepare materials, and follow installation instructions. Load, unload, stage, protect, and account for materials and tools. Use hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work with the superintendent and crew to meet installation schedules, quality expectations, and daily production goals. Follow all PPE, ladder, lifting, tool, housekeeping, and site-specific safety requirements. Identify damaged material, inaccurate dimensions, unsafe conditions, and installation issues, and report them immediately. Represent professionally with customers, general contractors, vendors, and other trades. What you bring Construction, installation, framing, finish carpentry, metal-panel, door, warehouse, or skilled-labor experience is preferred but not required. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the willingness to learn a specialized installation process. Reliable attendance and the ability to work well as part of a crew. Ability and willingness to travel [75%-90%] of the time, including overnight stays and occasional weekend work. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in hot, cold, and outdoor conditions. Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish language skills are welcome but not required.
