Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Glazier/Installer with experience in residential and commercial glass work to join our team. This position involves measuring, installing, replacing, and servicing a variety of glass products, including windows and insulated glass units, shower enclosures, mirrors, storefront glass, and patio doors. The Glazier will work as part of an installation crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship. Applicants should be comfortable working at job sites throughout the Greater Houston area. Duties Measure openings and verify dimensions for residential and commercial glass installations. Install and replace windows, insulated glass units (IGUs), shower enclosures, mirrors, storefront glass, patio doors, and related glass products. Safely remove existing glass, windows, doors, and glazing materials, and prepare openings for installation. Handle, load, unload, and transport glass and installation materials safely. Use hand tools, power tools, suction equipment, ladders, and other glazing tools properly and safely. Perform caulking, sealing, glazing, and finishing work neatly and accurately. Inspect installations for proper alignment, fit, operation, and overall workmanship. Assist crew members with installation, material handling, and job-site preparation as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow job-site safety procedures. Communicate job-site conditions, measurements, material issues, or installation concerns to the crew supervisor or management. Qualifications Previous professional experience in glazing, glass installation, window installation, or a closely related trade. Experience with both residential and commercial glass work preferred. Ability to accurately measure openings and verify dimensions for glass, windows, doors, and related products. Experience installing and replacing windows, insulated glass units (IGUs), mirrors, shower enclosures, storefront glass, and/or patio doors. Skilled in the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, suction equipment, and glazing tools. Ability to perform clean and accurate caulking, sealing, and finishing work. Knowledge of proper glass handling and job-site safety procedures. Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload glass and construction materials. Valid driver's license required. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, crew members, and customers. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work effectively as part of an installation crew. Ability to work at residential and commercial job sites and in varying outdoor weather conditions.
