Job Description
Experienced Glazier / Flat Glass Technician$22-$28+ per hour based on experience Glass Doctor of Winchester is seeking an experienced glazier who can perform both residential and commercial glass installations. Responsibilities Measure, cut, fabricate, and install flat glass for windows, doors, storefronts, mirrors, and custom glass fixtures using hand tools and power tools Install frameless and semi-frameless shower enclosures Install mirrors and insulated glass units Install storefront systems, doors, and hardware Read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Take accurate field measurements Complete service calls and glass repairs Requirements Glass installation experience required Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Experience installing frameless showers, storefront system, mirrors, and insulated glass unit preferred. Experience Frameless shower enclosures Storefront systems and entrances Commercial door hardware and closersInsulated glass replacement Commercial and residential service work Field measuring and job site troubleshooting Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Additional Requirements Must arrive on time and be dependable Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude Must communicate effectively with customers and team members Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Must pass a background check and driving record review Must be comfortable working on ladders and lifts Must be able to safely lift and carry glass products Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and perform field measurements Must maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and job site This Position Is Not For You If You cannot read a tape measure accurately You regularly show up late You need constant supervision You are uncomfortable dealing directly with customers You take shortcuts instead of doing the job correctly
