Job Description
Hourly plus incentive based pay options avaiable This position is responsible for accurately measuring the customer's home and buildings for installations and being responsible for completing service jobs Your specific duties as a Service and Measure Technician will include: Installation/repair of all types of glass, including: insulated/single pane glass replacement in aluminum, wood, & vinyl, shower doors, mirrors, vinyl replacement windows, skylights, table-tops, railings & screens. Commercial glass installation/repair, including storefront glass replacement only, glass entry doors, door closers, swings, sweeps, thresholds and hardware. Measure customer's homes and record measurements Preparing estimates and selling jobs. Repair windows, siding, and sunrooms Order and track repair and installation services Provide daily service sheets to employees within the office Assist Management reporting and communication, as requested Interact and assist homeowners to service their home-improvement needs Attention to detail and self motivation are critical for success in your role Will need a good driving record. (must be able to be insured.) Must be problem solver with ability to get the job done. Professional demeanor, positive attitude and teamwork with management, but self-motived. Ability to interact with home owners and have a "Can Do" attitude. Punctual, reliable and trustworthy. Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced/clean.
Personal protective equipment provided or required sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place. Complete paperwork when jobs are complete/incomplete, and weekly reports as required. Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and use levels. Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor and lift/manipulate heavy objects. Work outside in any weather conditions Company vehicle provided during working hours. Hours worked 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Sunday-Thursday. Hours may vary some overtime required.
