In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing various types of siding and windows on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will help enhance building aesthetics, improve energy efficiency, and ensure long-lasting durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install siding materials such as vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement, or wood to meet project specifications. Install a variety of window types including casement, double-hung, sliding, and specialty windows according to schematics and blueprints. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, framing, or applying weatherproofing materials to ensure proper installation. Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and efficiently during installation processes. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety standards on construction sites. Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet industry standards and client expectations; perform touch-ups such as caulking or trim carpentry as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project planning principles. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in siding and window installation. Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety protocols. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with roofing, stucco, masonry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, plumbing, restoration work, welding, tile laying, concrete forming, drywall finishing or remodeling is a plus. Skilled in caulking for weatherproofing; experienced in trim carpentry for finishing touches; capable of heavy lifting for material handling. Knowledge of construction estimating processes; experience with schematic interpretation enhances project accuracy. Hands-on handyman experience with diverse building systems including masonry or metal framing is advantageous.
