This role is hands-on and physically active, focused on helping homeowners protect their homes from moisture, mold, rot, pests, poor air quality, and energy loss caused by problem crawlspaces. As a Crawlspace Technician, you will work under homes to install crawlspace repair and improvement systems such as vapor barriers, insulation, dehumidifiers, drainage solutions, mold treatment, air sealing, and related materials. The right person for this role is reliable, teachable, detail-oriented, and willing to do excellent work in tight, dirty, and challenging environments. At Heartstrong, we believe our work matters. Responsibilities Inspect and prepare crawlspace work areas for installation and repair Install vapor barriers, insulation, drainage systems, dehumidifiers, air sealing materials, and other crawlspace solutions Remove damaged insulation, debris, old vapor barriers, and other materials as needed Perform mold treatment, moisture control work, and general crawlspace cleanup Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment safely and properly Work in confined spaces, including low-clearance crawlspaces Follow project instructions, company standards, and safety procedures Keep job sites clean, organized, and respectful of the homeowner's property Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors Represent Heartstrong with professionalism, honesty, and a strong work ethic Take photos, document work completed, and report any issues found during the job Qualifications Previous construction, crawlspace, waterproofing, insulation, HVAC, pest control, or restoration experience is helpful but not required Must be comfortable working in crawlspaces, tight spaces, dirt, humidity, and physically demanding conditions Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment Ability to work on hands and knees, bend, crawl, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team Willingness to learn and follow Heartstrong's installation standards Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job right Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation required Must be able to pass any required background check or drug screening, if applicable Positive attitude, good communication skills, and respect for customers and coworkers Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is not afraid of hard work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to be part of a company that helps homeowners solve serious problems. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be honest, coachable, consistent, and willing to work hard. Work Environment This position involves working in residential crawlspaces and on active job sites. Conditions may include dirt, dust, moisture, mold, insects, tight spaces, low clearance, hot or cold temperatures, and physically demanding work. Proper protective equipment and training will be provided.
