Job Description

RQ Construction is currently looking to hire several skilled Mechanical and Piping Insulators for active projects at Naval Station Mayport and surrounding areas . All work will be performed on a military base and is paid according to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates specific to that location. The Insulator role involves installing insulation on piping, duct systems, and various mechanical equipment to control temperature and enhance overall system performance. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, be proficient with industry tools and equipment, and consistently follow established safety guidelines in alignment with RQ Construction's core values. Since its founding in 1996, RQ Construction, LLC has earned a solid reputation for delivering comprehensive Design-Build solutions to both commercial and government clients. With projects underway throughout the U.S. and internationally, including work in North Carolina. Our teams provide nationwide construction support. We focus on fast-track, ground-up construction, primarily serving the Department of Defense sector.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay:
$40.30-$45.00 , based on experience Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) plan with company matching contributions Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required Completion of an apprenticeship program (union, military, trade school, or company-sponsored) that combines classroom instruction with hands-on training is strongly preferred Minimum of 4 years of experience (or equivalent) working as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator in commercial construction or facility operations Experience on government, military, or large-scale commercial construction projects is preferred Apply today!
