In this role, you will be responsible for installing, insulating, and sealing mechanical and plumbing systems, as well as applying firestop materials to ensure building safety and compliance. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of commercial construction projects, ensuring all installations meet rigorous safety standards and specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your technical skills, and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Install mechanical insulation on HVAC ductwork, piping, tanks, and equipment. Install insulation on plumbing systems, including domestic water, chilled water, hot water, and condensate piping. Apply the fire caulking and collars per UL standards Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings. Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials accurately. Seal joints and vapor barriers to ensure proper system performance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following OSHA safety standards. Coordinate work with project managers, superintendents, and other trades. Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Qualifications Experience in commercial mechanical insulation, plumbing insulation, firestopping, or related construction trades preferred. Familiarity with firestop manufacturers such as Hilti, STI, or 3M is a plus. Knowledge of commercial construction safety practices. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
