Insulation Technician

Duties:

• Install insulation materials in buildings and structures according to blueprints and specifications
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
• Apply insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool, using appropriate tools and techniques
• Seal gaps and joints with caulk or other sealants to prevent air leakage
• Install vapor barriers to prevent moisture buildup
• Install fire-stopping materials to meet safety regulations
• Remove old or damaged insulation materials as needed
• Clean work area and dispose of waste materials properly

Requirements:

• Previous experience in insulation installation or related construction work is preferred
• Knowledge of construction painting, drywall, trim carpentry, HVAC, plaster, and concrete finishing is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Familiarity with different types of insulation materials and their applications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
