An Insulation Worker installs insulation in homes and buildings, to prevent heat loss in winter and keep houses cooler in hot weather. Installs insulation in building walls and attics or under floors, and wraps hot water heaters or pipes with insulation.
Vector Technical has partnered with this Industrial Refrigeration client that specializes in providing process fluid heat transfer systems. They are looking for an individual to fill the position of Paint & Insulation Technician . 1st Shift Pay is dependent upon experience Overtime may be required
Responsibilities:
Measure units and components in the shop to verify and revise sheet metal drawings prior to material procurement. Fit and assemble sheet metal components upon arrival to the Paint & Insulation department. Assist with installation of subframes, insulated panels, exhaust hoods, and other structural components on largescale equipment. Ensure proper alignment, fit-up, and structural integrity of fabricated components. Identify and select appropriate coatings based on specifications, Bill of material and drawings. Mix paints accurately according to manufacturer guidelines, including ratios for catalysts and reducers. Operate HVLP spray systems to apply coatings with proper technique, ensuring coverage, adhesion, and finish quality. Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required. Maintain paint inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of coatings and materials. Install mechanical insulation on piping, vessels, and components using materials such as fiberglass, closed-cell foam, and polyisocyanurate. Apply and fit PVC and aluminum jacketing systems to protect insulation and provide a finished appearance. Cut, shape, and secure insulation materials to meet project specifications and quality standards. Ensure proper sealing to prevent moisture intrusion and maintain thermal efficiency.
Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, painting, sheet metal, or insulation is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn multiple trades and develop cross-functional skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working with tools and equipment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability. What we offer our
