Job Description
Your Building Centers, Inc. is a 100% employee owned company with 23 retail and manufacturing facilities located throughout central Pennsylvania. At YBC we offer to both our contractor and retail customers installed insulation as a service and we install both batt and blow-in fiberglass insulation. Our business is growing and we are looking to expand our crews. We have an opening for a full-time, permanent position, Monday through Friday. The shift starts at 7 a.m. at our Williamsport location at 280 Arch Street and from there travel to jobsites is via our company vehicles. The starting pay is $14/hour and after an initial training period to become proficient, the pay for the time on the job is switched to a higher paying piece-rate. A motivated Insulation Installer working piece-rate and who averages 40 hours/week should expect to make $40k-$50k per year. Applicants will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening before an offer of employment can be made. The jobs responsibilities include but are not limited to: Loading and tracking materials from store inventory onto the truck. Managing the inventory once it is on the job. Responsible for all PA Dot logs and inspections for the vehicle. Comply with all OSHA guidelines and YBC safety rules. Install insulation using various methods. Cut and size insulation to fit the framing. Must be physically able to climb ladders and scaffolding. Learn to operate the various pieces of equipment required to perform your tasks. Required to drive a company box truck and be able to pass a DOT physical. Drivers license a must. Other duties as assigned.
