$29.00 - $31.00 per hour About the Role TPS is looking for an experienced Commercial Insulation Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial mechanical insulation projects in the Houston area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows insulation systems inside and out, can keep a job site running safely and efficiently, and takes pride in training and developing a strong crew. What You'll Do Lead and supervise a crew of commercial insulation installers on job sites, assigning daily tasks and ensuring work meets project specifications and schedules Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan and execute insulation installation Install, repair, and maintain thermal insulation systems on pipes, ducts, tanks, and mechanical equipment using materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, foam, and elastomeric insulation Apply and finish insulation jacketing, including metal, PVC, and canvas coverings Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance Inspect completed work for quality control and ensure it meets code and client standards Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to keep projects on schedule Track materials, tools, and equipment needed for the crew, and communicate needs to management Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and job documentation What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial mechanical insulation, including prior experience leading a crew Strong working knowledge of insulation materials, tools, and application methods OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications Proven leadership and crew management skills Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and procedures Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather/site conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work Strong communication and problem-solving skills What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $29 - $31/hour, based on experience Steady, full-time work with a growing commercial insulation contractor Opportunities for advancement and continued training Supportive team environment that values safety and craftsmanship
