This pivotal role involves managing teams of skilled ironworkers, coordinating construction schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of technical drawings and construction management software. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment. Most jobs are in north and central Alabama but some travel will be required throughout southeast. Duties Lead and supervise ironworking crews on active construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Coordinate daily construction activities with project managers, fabricators, & general contractors to maintain project schedules and budgets. Review construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately. Oversee construction schedule coordination, ensuring timely completion of milestones while managing resources effectively. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets design standards, safety regulations—including OSHA and federal safety standards—and contractual obligations. Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards for a safe working environment. Review construction schedules regularly; adjust plans as needed to address delays or unforeseen issues while maintaining project momentum. Supervise team members' performance; provide coaching, training on construction drawing review, schematics interpretation, and use of tools. Experience Proven management experience supervising ironworkers. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate execution of complex projects. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices for maintaining a safe job site.
