Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Steel Fitter to build high-quality metal components. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating and fitting metal components or structures. 5+ years' experience fitting steel components such as beam, plate, pipe, and tube with tolerances no greater than 1/8" is required. Experience building sawmill equipment is a plus. Must have your own tools such as squares, levels, hammers, centerpunches, etc. Knowledgeable in .045 dual flux core welding process. Standard knowledge of rigging practices utilizing 5t-15t cranes. Ability to layout raw materials to create parts for sub-assemblies using oxy/acetylene torch, plasma cutters, as well as drills. Conforming with state and company safety regulations. Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects. Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods.
