We are hiring experienced Structural Steel Fitters and Welders for light to heavy structural steel fabrication. Top pay and competitive benefits package. 1st shift Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operates any equipment needed to perform job. Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS) Carry out post - welding treatment of structures by cleaning. Inspect and evaluate welds to ensure they are free of defect and conform to set specifications Employ appropriate welding methods in completing structural fabrications Operate cranes Set equipment to weld in vertical, horizontal, flat or overhead positions Able to read, understand and interpret blue prints for structural steel and fabrication. Install all required components per drawing in a timely manner Able to read and understand weld symbols Mathematical skills to accurately fit Able to operate overhead cranes Follow welding procedures Must follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies.
