Fabricator Level II - Metalworker Join the Gizmo Team Gizmo Art Production is seeking an experienced Metalworker/Fabricator to join our team in San Francisco. We specialize in the fabrication and installation of one-of-a-kind public art, museum exhibits, and architectural projects. Position Summary This is a shop-based fabrication position focused primarily on metalworking. The ideal candidate is a skilled fabricator who can work independently, solve problems, and consistently produce high-quality finished work. An aluminum finish-welding test is required during the interview process. This position is for 3 months with the possibility of becoming permanent. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of professional metal fabrication experience. This position will be primarily for welding on Aluminum. Must be able to perform clean, high-quality finish welds in aluminum suitable for architectural, artistic, and client-facing projects. Strong fit-up, assembly, and fabrication skills. Proficient with standard shop hand tools and power tools. Experience with specialized metalworking equipment and fabrication processes (cross-cutting, grinding, etc.) Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication documents. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Good basic math skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Valid driver's license. Responsibilities The Level II Fabricator is expected to work with moderate supervision while demonstrating a solid foundation in metal fabrication and a commitment to continuously developing new skills.
