MIG Welder

CMSP is hiring a skilled Welder to support our manufacturing and prototyping operations. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble aluminum and steel components using MIG welding, torch cutting, and general shop equipment. This position supports new product development and requires a hands-on, safety-conscious worker.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on aluminum and steel components Operate torch cutting and plasma equipment Interpret technical drawings , blueprints , and welding symbols Fabricate and assemble prototype parts from sketches or verbal instructions Use general shop equipment : drill press, band saw, grinders, hand tools, etc. Operate sit-down forklift safely Maintain a safe and clean work environment Follow all shop safety procedures (must provide own safety shoes and some hand tools)

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years MIG welding experience with aluminum Experience welding other metals (steel, stainless, etc.) Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs regularly Torch and plasma cutting experience Forklift operation (sit-down) Must speak, read, and write English Safety-first mindset Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Welding certification Fabrication experience Hydraulic, liftgate, or truck mechanic knowledge Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds Stand and move for most of an 8-hour shift Perform repetitive motions Work in a manufacturing environment that may not be climate controlled

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 7am to 3:30pm (Friday 6am start time)

Pay Range :
