Job Description Job Description Job Description The Field Ironworker Foreman position is a full-time field position based out of Spring Valley, CA. The day-to-day responsibilities include working with a crew of 2-4 to install structural and miscellaneous steel according to project specifications. It will entail working at varying heights, following detailed blueprints, assisting with rigging and hoisting materials, operating forklifts, and ensuring proper use of fall protection and other safety systems. The role also involves collaborating with site supervisors and other trades, maintaining tools and equipment, and complying with all company and regulatory safety standards. Qualifications Proficiency working with miscellaneous and structural steel, including installation and alignment of beams, columns, and other components. Demonstrated ability to safely operate power tools relevant to ironwork, such as drills, grinders, and cutting equipment. Experience with welding processes appropriate for structural steel, with a focus on quality and safety. Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting, moving, and securing heavy materials using cranes and hoists. Strong understanding and consistent use of fall protection and other safety practices when working at heights. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications. Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. Previous experience as an ironworker; relevant certifications or apprenticeship completion are a plus. Reliable attendance, effective communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a diverse team. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not a requirement.
