The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. As a working foreman, you will be expected to be hands-on with tools, actively participating in the physical aspects of the job while supervising and guiding team members to meet project goals. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise ironworking crews on construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Be actively involved in the work by using tools and equipment necessary for ironwork tasks. Coordinate with project managers, safety personnel, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Inspect work sites regularly to identify potential hazards or issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Train and mentor team members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and best practices in ironworking. Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and safety compliance. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies. Assist in planning daily work schedules and resource allocation to optimize productivity. Requirements Proven experience as an ironworker with a strong understanding of structural steel installation and related tasks. Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role is preferred. Hands-on proficiency with tools and equipment used in ironworking projects. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and other stakeholders. Commitment to safety standards and regulations governing construction sites. Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor tasks consistently. Valid relevant certifications or licenses related to ironworking or construction supervision are advantageous.
