Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Steel Fabricator / Installer and become a vital part of creating and installing high-quality metal structures. You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing steel components with precision and adherence to safety standards, ensuring every project meets our high-quality benchmarks. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork are prioritized. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce steel components. Measure, mark, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Perform welding operations following AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Operate forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely to move materials efficiently on-site or in the shop. Assemble fabricated parts with hand tools and power tools, ensuring structural integrity according to project specifications. Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times during fabrication and installation activities to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Skills Construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety procedures and site logistics. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication shop operations with experience in metal fabrication standards. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to pressure vessels or structural steel work is a plus. Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and safety equipment effectively on construction sites or in fabrication shops. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
