Role Description This full-time, on-site Shop Steel Fabricator role is based in Bremen, GA. The Shop Steel Fabricator will cut, shape, and assemble structural and miscellaneous steel components according to drawings and specifications. Responsibilities & Daily Tasks Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication prints. Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel components according to specifications. Perform welding as required to produce quality fabricated products. Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, drill presses, ironworkers, grinders, and other shop machinery. Inspect fabricated components to verify dimensions, fit, and quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of finished products as needed. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time. Preferred Qualifications Experience in structural steel fabrication. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. + Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other heavy equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Qualifications Ability to perform metalworking tasks, including cutting, shaping, and fitting steel components. Proficiency in using hand tools and grinding equipment for fabrication and finishing work. Experience operating power tools commonly used in steel fabrication. Skill in safe forklift operation and material handling within a shop environment. Basic ability to read measurements, use measuring tools, and follow fabrication instructions or drawings. Commitment to safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to shop safety standards. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work as part of a fabrication team. Previous experience in steel fabrication, welding, or industrial shop work is preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
