All technician / mechanic candidates must have at least 1 to 3 years experience as a Motorcycles/ATV/ PWC technician and a killer drive. Basic understanding of computers is needed as this is used regularly. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and move at a fast pace. Moving of vehicles by hand is also required. In addition to being physically demanding this position is mentally demanding and often exhilarating. Those with confidence and a positive attitude in addition to a keen attention to detail are most successful at Mountain Motorsports. 1 to 3 years of Motorcycle/Powersports . OEM certifications preferred. Provide your own basic tools. Ability to work with minimal supervision Maintain organized, clean and safe work area. Diagnose and repair two and four stroke engines. Remove and replace engine components as necessary on marine vehicles Remove and replace defective frame and body parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or other tools. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues Perform preventative and regular maintenance, according to manufacturer specifications. Compose repair estimates for internal and external customers. Inspect vehicles, and identify additional recommended services. Prepare list of required parts and labor times for each job. Explain diagnostic test results to Service Manager, and if necessary, the customer. Perform test rides and other tests. Follow all safety rules and guidelines, as determined by Georgia law and management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Skills to include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Reasoning Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Educations Requirements 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training. Written Communication to include basic computer knowledge i.e. typing and the use of scheduling systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular attendance during normal scheduled store hours including the ability to work 9+ hours per day and the ability to work weekends. Frequent standing, walking and sitting The ability to work in a high stress environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines which may require longer/later hours as needed. The ability to continually engage and interact with others, including clients and employees throughout the work day via various methods of communications including phone and computer usage. Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs Occasional pushing of up to 100+ lbs
