SCL Site Counselor

As a SCL Site Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals. You will provide compassionate mission-driven support to members of all ages, helping them navigate challenges and empower them to achieve their highest level of independence. What you'll do Implement crisis intervention strategies to support members and manage crises effectively. Support 3-5 members with living skills in their home. (including cooking, cleaning, chores, medication pass, other activities.) Support and encourage community integration (sports events, grocery shopping, movie theatre, town celebrations, etc.) Follow individual supports plan to individual needs. Maintain accurate service documentation on interactions and progress of member goals, while remaining in compliance with governing rules and regulations. Basic qualification Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Must be willing to undergo a background check Must have a valid State of Iowa driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Class D Chauffeurs license upon hire. Must have proof of a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities or other related field experience. Knowledge of services.
